Xenia started her career in the Tourism Industry in 1993 in Spain and has since worked within various sectors of the hotel market globally, living in countries from Spain over Mexico, to the UK, Singapore, Morocco to mention only a few. She is fluent in 5 languages and understands the true meaning of global businesses, their challenges and impacts intrinsically.
Her experience within the hospitality sectors covers areas of communication, Sales & Marketing as well as operations, having worked for globally renowned companies Mandarin Oriental Hotels & Oberoi Hotels and Amanresorts, amongst others.
As Founder and Partner of Considerate Hoteliers Ltd she is at the forefront of driving responsible business practices within the tourism industry through advisory services, data collection and responsive resource consumption analysis. Xenia is in charge of spreading the Considerate Services, Products and Message across markets and countries.
Her core motivation is her life long concern for the environment and desire to create new systems for the integration of sustainable practices into the hotel industry.
Xenia’s expertise allows her to ensure change is embraced at all levels within a hotel company, leading workshops, implementing strategies and enabling staff with the necessary tools to drive responsible business within all departments.
She also acts as an advisor to The Prince of Wales' Charities' International Sustainability Unit and is a Trustee of the Richard Ormonde Shuttleworth Remembrance Trust - a trust with a deed for agricultural education. Additionally she is on the Board of the Langenburg Forum for Sustainability in Germany, a conference dedicated to brining sustainability into differenty industry and market segments.
