Laudato Si’ Movement


Dr Lorna Gold is the Executive Director of the Laudato Si´ Movement, a network of Catholic organisations and grassroots leaders working for ecological justice. She previously held the role of Board Chair at LSM since 2020 and worked as interim CEO of FaithInvest, an UK-based NGO that supports faiths to invest their assets for the benefit of people and planet. Prior to these roles, she led Trócaire’s Policy, Research and Advocacy for almost two decades and led several high impact campaigns, including for fossil fuel divestment in Ireland. She has previously acted as an advisor on climate communications to the Irish government and taught climate policy at the University of Maynooth, Ireland. She holds a PhD in Economic Geography from the University of Glasgow. She has published and lectured widely on climate action, faith and regenerative economics. Her book Climate Generation – Awakening to our Children’s Future was described by Canadian author and activist, Naomi Klein, as “an anguished journey into the heart of the climate crisis.”
