Caroline Chen is the CEO and Board Member of Aquanet Power Group, a company pioneering next-generation wave energy solutions. Born in Taipei and raised across Paraguay and Sydney, Australia, Caroline brings a truly global perspective to the energy transition. She returned to Taipei in 2020 and assumed the CEO role at Aquanet in 2021.
Caroline’s journey in renewable energy began in 2015, when she joined Aquanet as Business Development Director, leading market entry strategies and building the company’s international project pipeline across Asia-Pacific, Europe, Africa, and North America. Under her commercial leadership, Aquanet developed a 2 MW project and executed an engineering design contract with the largest utility in Taiwan. Since becoming CEO, she has driven the company’s vision for integrating wave energy into port and coastal infrastructure through innovative hybrid renewable energy projects.
Before entering the renewable energy sector, Caroline spent over a decade as a corporate lawyer and partner in Sydney, advising on M&A, project financing, and cross-border commercial transactions — expertise she now brings directly to bear on structuring bankable, large-scale clean energy deals.
She is a passionate advocate for accelerating the commercialization of marine energy as a cornerstone of the global clean energy transition.
