1,2 Million Euros raised for the environment

Great success for the second dinner and auction hosted by Arnold
Schwarzenegger

„I am so pumped that after three years we were able to all meet up here again to have a wonderful evening and your generous contributions support our efforts to terminate
pollution and protect our environment,” Arnold Schwarzenegger welcomed his guests atthe famous Stanglwirt on Thursday, January 19th.

The “Special Dinner for Climate Action” took place for the second time before the legendary Hahnenkamm race and raised an unbelievable amount of 1,2 Million Euros for environmental protection. 170 guests enjoyed the traditional Austrian dinner and auction – including Lindsey Vonn, Miriam Weichselbraun, Andreas Gabalier, Hannes Jaenicke, Johan Ernst Nilson, Ralf Moeller, Barbara Meier and The Boss Hoss, who also performed some of their songs for the good cause. Works of art, signed props, one of a kind activities and jewellery were auctioned off by American comedian, actor and television host Matt Iseman. Particular highlights like a signed leather jacket from Arnold Schwarzenegger himself or artworks by artists such as Sylvester Stallone, Hermann Nitsch or Gottfried Helnwein were especially sought-after auction items and bidders all wanted to be a part of the action.

It’s time for all of us to stop talking to people about what they have to lose and start
talking to people about what they have to win. We will do this again at this year ́s
AUSTRIAN WORLD SUMMIT at the Hofburg in Vienna. Of course, we can only continue our great work with the support of our friends and partners. So, thank you all for making this evening a success and being part of the solution.” said Schwarzenegger.
100% of the proceeds will go to the Schwarzenegger Climate Initiative. Among other
things, the initiative organises the annual international climate conference AUSTRIAN
WORLD SUMMIT in Vienna, which presents concrete solutions from all over the world and connects climate action heroes from all around the world. The initiative also
supports selected projects in Africa, Asia, South America and Ukraine.
“We are overwhelmed by all the support for our work and happy about every Euro that we can use for more climate protection,” Monika Langthaler, Director of the
“Schwarzenegger Climate Initiative” emphasized.
